GATC Health Appoints Former Blizzard Entertainment Owner and AI Entrepreneur Bob Davidson to Board of Directors

 

Irvine, Calif. – May 28, 2025 – GATC Health, a leading tech-bio company leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to transform drug discovery, today announced the appointment of Bob Davidson to its board of directors, effective immediately. Davidson brings decades of experience in successfully building and scaling organizations, to the company, further strengthening GATC Health’s leadership as it advances its mission in artificial intelligence-driven health care solutions.

Davidson’s distinguished career includes pivotal roles in law andbusiness, as well as entrepreneurial and philanthropic ventures. With a Juris Doctor from George Washington University and an MBA from UCLA, he has served as a patent examiner with the US Patent Office and practiced as a patent and corporate lawyer for leading firms, including TRW and Parsons Corp. before founding Davidson & Associates.

 

As chairman and CEO of Davidson & Associates, Mr. Davidson acquired Blizzard Entertainment and led the company to a landmark $1.2 billion sale. Blizzard is a premier developer and publisher of some of the industry’s most critically acclaimed and genre-defining video games and multiple Game of the Year award winner. More recently, he founded SpreeAI, a fashion technology company leveraging artificial intelligence, which has reached a pre-revenue valuation of $1.55 billion in just four years.

In addition to his business career, Davidson has served as director for Pepperdine University and George Washington University and founded the Davidson Institute for Talent Development. The Davidson Institute is a nonprofit operating foundation that has served more than 5,000 profoundly gifted children and young adults through various initiatives, including Davidson Young Scholars program, Fellows Scholarship, and summer programs. One of the Davidson Institute’s programs is The Davidson Academy, the first free public school of its kind for very high achieving middle and high school students. It is located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, and has been ranked the No. 1 public middle school and high school in the United States.
