IRVINE, Calif., May 16, 2022 / GATC Health, a biotech company revolutionizing drug discovery and disease prediction using artificial intelligence and advanced multiomics, today announced that Tyrone Lam, COO of GATC Health, will discuss the future of addiction treatment science during a special one-day event on May 17 in Washington, DC,  Breaking the Stigma and Ending the Addiction Cycle: Critical Steps for States, Counties & Tribes. Held at Georgetown University and streamed virtually, Breaking the Stigma will bring together a broad community of leading experts and influential stakeholders in addiction treatment to discuss new resources, innovative research, effective strategies, and best practices that can be put into practice on the ground.

With U.S. overdose deaths reaching historic highs in 2021, ongoing trials and high-profile settlements with drug companies, and more research available than ever about the opioid epidemic, where do we go from here? The event will include sessions and speakers discussing seven core areas of addiction: treatment, prevention, recovery, the workplace, criminal justice, civil legal aid, and harm reduction.

The event is free; registration is required: https://lightstreamconsulting.org/events/
