The San Diego Movie Premiere of The New Gold Standard: Cutting Edge Science That’s Replacing Animal Testing

IRVINE, Calif., October 12, 2026 – GATC Health co-hosted the exclusive San Diego premiere of the upcoming feature documentary, The New Gold Standard: Cutting Edge Science That’s Replacing Animal Testing, which highlights human-relevant drug discovery and development technologies, like GATC’s Operon® platform, to reduce and eventually replace animal testing. It was an honor and privilege to host so many valued GATC Health team members and partners, filling the theater for this critical conversation on the impact New Approach Methods (NAMs) is and will make to reduce the dependence of animal testing in drug development and research.

Attendees included NAMs providers, life science professionals, animal advocacy groups and regulatory leaders. The film offered audiences a compelling look inside leading research institutions to examine the emergence of human-based technologies that are reshaping how medicines are discovered, tested, and approved. GATC President Dr. Rahul Gupta, Robert Tinder, Ph.D., Head of Chemical Research and Development, and Alexa Martin, Ph.D., Senior Scientist and Discovery Lead were featured in the film.

Following the documentary, attendees transitioned to a reception to continue the discussion, share insights, and mingle directly with the film’s producer and director, Steven Latham, alongside leadership from both GATC Health and our event co-hosts at Qureator.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening. Your presence and continued partnership are vital as we navigate and shape the rapidly evolving landscape of research and medical innovation.
