Irvine, CA – April 10, 2025 – GATC Health Corp, a leading tech-bio company leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to transform drug discovery, is proud participate in Recovery Day at the Capitol, hosted by Greater Recovery and Community Empowerment (GRaCE) of West Virginia on April 10, 2025, billed as “a powerful day of awareness, networking and change,” in the support and recovery communities.

Dr. Rahul Gupta, former U.S. drug czar and president of GATC Health, will participate virtually, showcasing GATC Health’s groundbreaking opioid use disorder (OUD) drug candidate, designed using its advanced multiomics analysis and validated AI technology. Dr. Gupta is the first medical doctor to serve as the Director of National Drug Control Policy and lead the Office of National Drug Policy (ONDCP). While with the White House, he prioritized coordinated development and implementation of the nation's drug-control $44 billion budget and strategy across 19 federal agencies with an emphasis on prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery, and supply distribution. He’s widely credited with historic and unprecedented reductions in overdose deaths leading to saving tens of thousands of American lives. Most recent provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows a nearly 24% decline in drug overdose deaths in the United States for the 12 months ending in September 2024, compared to the previous year.
