National Addiction Solutions Summit Sponsored by GATC Health

GATC Health Corp was a proud sponsor of the National Addiction Solutions Summit on February 19th in Hollywood Beach, Florida, where national leaders joined together to offer guidance on best practices in the fight against addiction. GATC’s recently appointed President, Dr. Rahul Gupta, the former U.S. Drug Czar, was the keynote speaker. He addressed how leaders can best affect change in battling opioid addiction and highlighted GATC’s opioid use disorder drug candidate as an example of a targeted, specific tool that could have a tremendous impact in the U.S. and beyond.

Jayson Uffens, GATC’s co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, also spoke at the event and provided an overview of the company’s work in addiction treatment. “GATC’s novel drug candidate to treat opioid use disorder is a non-opioid solution that will help individuals achieve revolutionary success in addiction treatment. Today, a fraction of people suffering from addiction seek treatment, and that’s simply unacceptable. We expect this drug candidate to be in phase one human clinical trials before the end of the year.”

West Virginia State Senator Dr. Tom Takubo addressed GATC’s partnerships in West Virginia to combine AI with good medicine to help end the opioid crisis where it began.

While the event focused on sharing best practices and addiction abatement protocols, GATC presenters emphasized delivering clear, novel solutions. The Addiction Summit’s co-host, United Way of Broward County, kindly offered the Diplomat Resort Hotel as the event venue. The 300 guests and panel members all spoke highly of the scope and content of the discussions.
